First Church of Christ, Scientist in Seattle began holding services in 1889 and is a branch of The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts. Mary Baker Eddy discovered and founded Christian Science as a universal, practical system of spiritual, prayer-based Christian healing, available and accessible to everyone.

Based on Christianity as Christ Jesus lived it, the activities of our church are designed to inspire and encourage you as well as explain the practical Science of Christ that heals. It has helped many people find better emotional and physical health, answers to life's deepest issues and progress on their spiritual journeys.

We invite you to visit us at 402 Cedar Street, at the corner of 4th Avenue and Cedar, about one block from the Space Needle. We hold services on Sunday morning at 10 am and Wednesday evening at 7:30 pm. Our Reading Room is a resource for your spiritual education and our Sunday School welcomes your children.
